Mr Riaz has been going over the years, twice a year, to Gujrat in Pakistan to help children with cleft lip and palate. He has developed a technique of cleft nose correction based on the principles of aesthetic rhinoplasty or “nose job”. This technique addresses the asymmetry of nasal platform which rests on upper jaw bone and also reconstructs the deficient cartilaginous framework. The nasal blockage to improve breathing is also addressed with this technique.
Mr Riaz has helped hundreds of patients treated in the Cleft Hospital, Gujrat, Pakistan and also this technique has helped patients in the UK. Details of the procedure and before and after photographs are included in the section of nasal surgery.
